Definition

What is an AI travel agent?

An AI travel agent is software that plans a trip in conversation, flights, hotels, and activities matched to your dates, budget, and taste, and then books it. Unlike a trip planner, a true AI travel agent completes the transaction: live inventory, traveler details, verified pricing, and confirmed tickets.

Most tools wearing the name stop at the first half. They generate an itinerary, hand you a list of links, and leave the booking (the actual hard part) to you. Voyagier’s AI was built for the second half: connect it to the assistant you already use over MCP, or run it from the CLI, and it carries the trip from first message to confirmed booking, with you approving the money.

The difference

Most AI plans trips. Voyagier books them.

“AI trip planner” usually means suggestions: a tidy itinerary and a pile of tabs to open. An AI travel agent finishes the job. Finishing it takes four things:

Real, bookable inventory

Live fares and rates from 420+ airlines, 2M+ accommodations, and thousands of activities. Priced to the seat and the night, not remembered from training data.

Your details on the booking

Traveler names, loyalty numbers, seat and room preferences, applied to the reservation itself. The booking is yours, not a template you re-enter somewhere else.

A verified total

One itemized price covering fare, room, taxes, and fees, confirmed with suppliers before you pay. Checkout is gated to that exact number: if a fare moves, booking stops instead of charging you.

A human approves the money

The AI never charges a card on its own. You approve the checkout, and an IATAN-accredited agency with human advisors stands behind the fulfillment.

The agency behind the AI

AI speed. Human accountability.

Voyagier isn’t a chatbot with a travel hobby. It’s an IATAN-accredited host travel agency. The AI is the fastest agent on staff, not the only one.

Human advisors review what the AI books, step in when weather or airlines don’t cooperate, and stay on the trip after checkout. When plans change at 11 p.m. in another time zone, there’s an agency on the line, not a feedback form.

IATAN-accredited

A recognized, accredited travel agency with real supplier relationships, not an affiliate-link wrapper.

Advisors on every booking

A human backs each trip: changes, cancellations, refunds, and the unexpected.

One point of contact

Tickets, confirmations, and support come from the agency of record. Someone is answerable.

How it works

01

Connect Voyagier

One line in your assistant’s MCP config, or npm install -g voyagier in the terminal. One connection brings live inventory and checkout with it.

02

Say the trip

Dates, cities, budget, taste, in plain language. Swap flights, move the hotel, add a food tour; every change reprices against live inventory.

03

Confirm the details

Traveler names, loyalty numbers, seat and room preferences, applied to the booking with one verified total.

04

Approve the checkout

You approve the exact total, and checkout can’t run at any other price. Tickets and confirmations follow, and an advisor is on the trip from there.

FAQ

Questions travelers ask

Most can't, they suggest flights, then link you out to book somewhere else. Voyagier's AI is connected to live inventory across 420+ airlines, so it prices real fares, applies your traveler details, and takes the itinerary through checkout once you approve the verified total.

MCP + CLI

No new app. Connect Voyagier to the assistant you already use. Free to plan; a verified total before you pay, and you approve every checkout.
